Minor
This program will be discontinued following the Spring 2026 Semester.
Students currently enrolled will be able to complete their degree through a designated teach-out period.
Starting Summer 2026, new students will no longer be admitted to this program.

Course Requirements
- ART 100: Drawing I (3 credits)
- ART 102: Ceramics I (3 credits)
- ART 128: Basic Computer Design (3 credits) or Painting Course
- ARTH 125: Introduction to Expressive Therapies (3 credits)
- ARTH 225: Art Therapy: Material & Methods (3 credits)
- ARTH 325: Art Therapy: Populations (3 credits)
- PSYC 101: Introduction to Psychology (3 credits)
Learning Outcomes
- Present, critique, and write about works of art and design using appropriate terminology from history, culture, and contemporary art and design.
- Generate works that聽demonstrate a productive creative process and exhibit a high level of craftsmanship and technical facility.
- Develop artworks that use elements and principles of art and design.
- Demonstrate skills necessary to聽effectively teach or facilitate art experiences in a community or educational setting.
